Celebrating Support Staff Week, 8-12 June.
Celebrating the often 'unsung heroes' of our school.
Every year we take the opportunity to celebrate and thank our fantastic support staff. This year we are celebrating some recent pay and ‘conditions of work’ wins for support staff - whakanuia ngā kaiāwhina tautoko!
Late last year a collective agreement was signed that means all support staff are now paid at least the Living Wage, and teacher aides are now in the process of considering a historic pay equity settlement. That settlement will pave the way for pay equity for all other support staff too.
Here at Riccarton Primary, we have an amazing support staff team who work hard every day to support all the learners and staff. We always appreciate the incredible work that they do, but this week is an opportunity to really highlight it!
Thank you so much to; our office staff - Emma and Nic, our Librarian - Melissa, our ESOL Team - Debbie, Ma'ilinoa, Seth, Kai, Alia, Mir, Zeinab, our Learning Assistants - Casey, Karen, Janette, Paula, Tish and Steve and last (but not least) our ground staff, Colin and Geoff.
We could not do what we do each day without you! He waka eke noa!
