Kia ora whānau,
A huge thank you to everyone who has already started selling tickets for our exciting raffle fundraiser! We’re off to a great start, but we still need your support to reach our goal of raising $5,000 to purchase much-needed sports equipment for our tamariki.
Remember the amazing prizes up for grabs!
A 2024 signed All Blacks jersey, generously donated by Anton Lienert-Brown, signed by the entire squad.
A beautiful art print.
Tickets to Crusaders games.
A supermarket voucher.
Every ticket sold brings us closer to making a big difference for our school and our tamariki.
A few reminders:
Tickets are only $2 each, and every family has been asked to sell 10 tickets (or more if you can!).
All money and ticket stubs are due back to school by Monday, 7th April in the bag provided.
Need more tickets?
If you’ve already sold your 10 tickets and are keen to sell more, please contact the office — we’d love your help!
Don’t forget the incentive!
The family that sells the most tickets will win a $50 Warehouse voucher.
Let’s rally together to make this fundraiser a huge success! Thank you for your continued support — every ticket sold makes a real difference.
School Lunch Programme
You may have seen or heard about concerns in the media regarding the school lunch programme. We want to provide you with an update on how things are progressing.
First, we’d like to take a moment to express our gratitude for being part of the government’s school lunch programme. This initiative has been a fantastic opportunity for our students and families, ensuring every child has access to a nutritious meal to support their learning and well-being.
However, we want to be open about some challenges we’ve encountered. The programme now costs us $12,000 per year to operate, which we didn’t anticipate. Additionally, the rollout of the new system hasn’t been as smooth as we had hoped. There have been a few bumps along the way, and we understand this has caused some frustration.
The good news is that we’re starting to see significant improvements! Thanks to ongoing adjustments and support, the programme is becoming more efficient, and we’re optimistic about its future. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make this programme the best it can be. If you get the chance please continue to voice how important the school lunch programme is for our school and others!
Important Notice: Teacher-Only Day – School Closed on Thursday 10th April
We would like to inform you in advance that our school will be closed on Thursday 10th April for a Ministry of Education (MOE) mandated teacher-only day. Please note that this is the second-to-last day of the term, and the school will reopen on Friday 11th April for the final day of the term. This teacher-only day allows all teachers to engage with MOE-directed professional development, focused on developing further their use of structured teaching approaches that align with maximising learning outcomes and overall achievement.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to enhance our teaching practices.
Please encourage your children to be Te Kāpehu All-Stars!
