It is a priority for our school that Te Kūiti High School’s culture and community is embraced as our turangawaewae, or place of belonging. So, we would like to extend a warm invitation to parents and caregivers of our new Year 9 ākonga to come to the school on the last day of Term 1, Friday 16 April, from 1.30.

We, the staff and teachers at our kura would love to meet the people who support and care for our new Year 9 students. We would like to share some kai with you, and chat about your young ones. On the day you will also receive a written progress report, giving you feedback on how your young ones are doing in their various subject areas. The staff at Te Kūiti High School believe that the stronger the partnership between the school, the parents, and the community, the greater will be the success of our rangatahi. They will be nurtured from within and without, from above and below, as the whakatauki says.

We look forward to meeting you kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face) on Friday 16 April. If you are unable to make it on the day, please try to send a member of the whanau who is over the age of twenty. Any reports not collected by caregivers or whānau on the day will be posted.
