Opening of the Gallagher Recreation Centre
The opening of The Gallagher Recreation Centre - Te Whare Takarangi o Te Kūiti - marked a very special occasion in the history of TKHS. Thank you to all involved who helped to make dreams for our school community a reality.
This was a very special occasion for former Te Kūiti High School Principal Bruce Stephens who officially opened Te Whare Takarangi o Te Kūiti - the Gallagher Recreation Centre during the formal opening earlier today. Bruce spoke of the history and beginnings of the recreation centre project and acknowledged the significant contribution of the Game on Charitable Trust.
Congratulations to the Northern Stars for their win against Waikato BOP Magic 54-47 in the Gallagher Recreation Centre Grand Opening Netball Game!
Congratulations to the Invitational NBL team for their win against the New Zealand Defence Force Basketball Team 108-57. The teams featured some TKHS ex-students, Connor Coll and Eli Katipa-Maikuku. Connor has played for NBL team Southland Sharks for several years, while Eli plays for the NZ Army Mens Team.
