The first tournament of the year kicked off on Tuesday at Hagley Park for the CAIMS Summer Tournament. There were many schools around Canterbury who came to compete in this one day event. The majority of the sports were played at Hagley with a couple of others dispersed around the city. 

There was a variety of different sports including lawn bowls, golf, futsal, touch and cricket. Students had to trial at school to get into these teams.

It was great weather for the day, excluding the brief five minute downpour of hail in the morning.

These were some standout results from the tournament.

Lawn Bowls - Mila Soutzidellis-Urquhart and Erica Forde placed first in the girls event.

Golf - Boys team placed 2nd.

Futsal - 2nd
