This is the last newsletter of what has been a very busy first term. Students have joined many extra-curricular activities and are presently trialling for winter Hagley sports. If any parents are able to help with coaching, please email Tom Straker tstraker@casebrook.school.nz

Thank you to the parents/caregivers that got in touch regarding some missing items. Below is an updated list. Most of these items will be donated at the end of this term (apart from the newly added pieces of clothing).

To help contain Canterburys measles outbreak a wider group of people are now eligible to receive a second MMR vaccination.

Between 9am - 10am on April 9th, an alert notification will be sent to all of the Casbrook School App users. The notification will be as follows. "Your School App requires some important updates. Please click here to read more."

As you may be aware board elections will be held this year. If this is something you may be interested in or you would like to know more about becoming a trustee please email Christine Gillard so she can arrange for your contact details to be given to a Board member.

Entertainment books will be in the office on Friday 5 April. Thank you to the families who have already purchased one.

Some of our budding cricketeers were awarded some fantastic prizes at their latest prizegiving!

Mr Watts recently played in a national sports tournament and achieved some very impressive results.

On Tuesday 2nd April, we took 24 students to the Selwyn Aquatic Centre to compete in the Inter-Intermediate Swimming Competition.

We are really in need of some extra help so if you have some spare time please come along and meet our small team. No pressure to commit to anything.

On Friday 5th April we will be having an Easter themed mufti day and ask each student to bring an Easter egg or similar item that can be used to create our raffle gift baskets. We look forward to seeing all the Easter costumes.

Christchurch Netball have several holiday programmes running during the April school holidays.

Once again the Papanui Rotary has come to the party and provided the opportunity for a few of our Year 8 students to attend their school camp.

Is a free and confidential, nationwide telephone/online help line for NZ children between the ages of 5-18.

All Tōtaranui Kāhui Ako schools have planned a combined Teacher Only Day on Friday 31 May, 2019. This date is the Friday before Queen's Birthday - we hope families may be able to plan a four day weekend rather than the traditional three day weekend.

The Lit Quiz was on Wednesday 13th March at Cobham Intermediate.

We are in the process of getting organised for our winter sport and would like any expression of interest for coaches/parent helpers.
