Thank you to all our staff, students and whānau for making this such a successful start to 2024. Students are really making the most of all the extra curricular activities on offer. Engagement is the highest we have ever seen and just the sheer enthusiasm towards day to day events is impressive. We look forward to Term Two.

On Monday 25 March, 12 students represented Casebrook Intermediate School in swimming sports in Rolleston.

This term is nearly complete. It has been very exciting meeting new students, new teachers, and teacher helpers. We’ve had renovations to an area of our school, the new court, and Tech and Spec rooms.

On Tuesday 19th of March some of our Pasifika and Māori Year 8 students took part in Mana Tamaiti at Fale Eke, run by Tagata Moana Trust.

This term for inquiry our unit has been Maturanga (The untold story). Rooms 1, 2 and 5 have been lucky enough to be able to do integrated inquiry.

On the 27th of March a group of students went to Morrison Ave park for a Flag Football Tournament.

Your child should have received a school photo order form last week.

A six-session programme for parents/caregivers of children aged 5-12 years. Tuning Into TEENS is an option for parents/caregivers of tamariki in school years 6-8 (10-13yrs)

As a part of our school-wide focus on attendance, whānau will be emailed home a summary of their child's attendance for Term 1.

Mr Paul Cook, our retired Hard Materials teacher, has recently finished positioning his final gift to Te Kura Mareko Casebrook.

It's great to see so many parents already connected to Seesaw. If you are yet to connect here's a helpful guide to get you up and running.

Groups of 20 to 30 students visit from two to three weeks and often individuals are here for longer periods of time. While here the students attend our classes, have ESOL lessons and generally experience our New Zealand way of life.

A group of our Year 8 Pasifika and Māori students have been attending sessions at Fale Eke based around raising STEAM as a career pathway for our Pasifika and Māori students.
