Week eight and there’s so much to celebrate. For half our school, myself included, we have been a part of the Casebrook community for nearly a term.

Downer will be working in the area as part of the Main Cycle Route development between Barnes Road and Tuckers Road.

Groups of 20 to 30 students visit from two to three weeks and often individuals are here for longer periods of time. While here the students attend our classes, have ESOL lessons and generally experience our New Zealand way of life.

The University of Canterbury is offering your child the opportunity to participate in the Kiwi English, Mathematics and Science competitions. These competitions take place annually and are designed by New Zealand teachers for New Zealand students and closely align with the New Zealand Curriculum.

NZEI Te Riu Roa, the primary teachers’ union, has scheduled a series of paid union meetings. Casebrook teachers will attend a paid union meeting on Wednesday 3 April 2024.
