Congratulations to all of the Year 5 & 6 children who took part in the Senior Athletic Sports on November 5th. The weather really played its part and turned on the sun for us. It was great to see the children taking part in every event on the day. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and there was a lot of encouragement and support for each other

Thank you to all the parents/spectators who came and supported the children. A huge big thank you from all the staff and students to our parent helpers who spent the day helping out a teacher on an event.. It was very much appreciated.

Congratulations to the 41 children who represented Thorrington Primary at South Zones Athletics on Monday 12th November.. We all had a great day out. I was very impressed to see how the children looked out for each other, they managed their day well, put 100% effort in and had fun. Thank you to Chris Panther and Jo Lindores for making sure all the children got to their events on time. Thank you to Chanel Brogan, Rachel Hair, Jacqui Baars and Bill Page for helping me out on the track all day. It was a wee bit stressful at times deciding 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The Thorrington team had a great day on the track and I am hoping we have a team of 11 or more to take to Canterburys on the 5th December. More details to follow. The full results from the South Zones athletics are yet to be finalised.
