Meet our Team
Meet the staff of Te Kura o Huriawa Thorrington. Each newsletter, we will introduce you to some staff members so that you can get to know us better.
Michelle Hamilton, Year 3 and 4 Team Leader and Teacher in Hāwai 11
I have been teaching for many years at Thorrington and my children also went to school here.
I have two adult children, Emily and Abby, a husband called Richard and a young, mischievous spoodle called Malfi.
I like to travel and learn about places and people as well as growing plants, going to Duvauchelle and doing jigsaws.
Shannae Sheriff, Year 1 and 2 Teacher in Hāwai 7
I was born in Christchurch and grew up in North Beach.
I have a dog called Zephyr. She loves going on adventures. I also have a cheeky bunny called Barnaby.
Some of my favourite things include; going to the beach, surfing, hiking, biking, reading a good book, and spending time with my family and friends.
