South Zones Cross Country Success

Te Kura o Huriawa Thorrington have great success at the South Zones Cross Country with 8 children qualifying for the Canterbury Championships on Wednesday 12th August.

24 children from Te Kura o Huriawa Thorrington qualified from the Tuakana School Cross Country to represent the school at the South Zones on Monday 22nd June.

The day started with success in both year 5 races as Nessy Flynn crossed the line first in the girls race and Josh Baars crossed the line first in the boys race.

The top 6 in each race have qualified for the Canterbury Championships to be held on Wednesday 12th August at Halswell Quarry, with the 7th place getters becoming 1st reserves for the day.
