Gumboot Friday
On Friday the 3rd of November we will be holding a fundraiser for the organisation I AM HOPE started by the amazing comedian Mike King.
This incredible organisation supports our young people in coping with depression and mental health. I AM HOPE help to provide free counselling to young people when they need it the most, and helps to create awareness of mental health that affects many New Zealanders. On Friday the 3rd of November students and teachers can come to school in their gumboots and whānau house colours to show their support for young people living with depression.
There will also be a gumboot throwing competition on the field at lunchtime, where students can compete in syndicates throwing their gumboot the furthest to win a prize.
