Go Well - Te Whatu Ora pharmacy scheme
Participating community pharmacies are providing a FREE Minor Health Conditions Service until Saturday 30 September for eligible people. More information is available on the Te Whatu Ora website, https://www.tewhatuora.govt.nz/keeping-well/go-well/
Minor health conditions are those listed on the flyer that can be managed with advice, self-care and in some cases, medicines provided by a pharmacist. Proper management of minor health conditions can prevent more serious conditions from developing or prevent further costly treatment.
The Minor Health Conditions Service is for:
• Maori and Pacific people
• Children under 14 years of age, or whanau members of a child with similar symptoms*
• Community Service Card (CSC) holders
*For example, if the pharmacist gives your tamariki medicine for scabies and you, or brothers or sisters also have symptoms, they may give advice and medicine to all of you.
For people who don’t meet the eligibility criteria, a pharmacist at your local community pharmacy will still be able to provide advice about a health condition, appropriate treatment options and let you know whether you should also see your doctor or another healthcare provider.
