Athletics results and upcoming swim meet

Regional Swimming Competition

This year Parumoana students have been invited to form a team and swim in the Wellington Interzone Swimming competition being held this Friday, 15th November, at the Kilbirnie Pool.

We have 13 swimmers from Papakōwhai School who have been invited to attend this event. Though the students will be swimming for individual results and placings, these will amount to team points for Parumoana.

Athletics

On Tuesday 12th November 38 students attended the Parumoana Athletics Event at Adventure Park in Whitby. The students showed great sportsmanship, attitude and effort throughout the day achieving great results. We placed 4th overall out of 11 schools; a great team effort.

Year 5 Girls Relay Team: 2nd place - Holly Thompson, Lucy Dudley, Isabelle Muir and Madeleine Ives

Year 7 Girls Relay Team: 1st Place - Courtney Higham, Isabelle Aubrey, Stellar Stroud and Wyntah Mair

Year 8 Boys Relay Team: 3rd Place - Miller Buck, Mutu Ngarimu, Zac Dilks, Caden Wicks

Lucy Dudley - 1st place in 800m distance race, 1st place in 80m and 150m sprints, 2nd place in Long Jump, 2nd place in High Jump

Year 5 Boys

Brodie Hailwood - 2nd place in 800m distance race, 3rd place in Long Jump

Jaxon Stroud - 1st place in 80m and 150m sprints, 1st place in Quoits

Year 6 Girls

Elise Siwalette - 2nd place in Shot Put, 2nd place in Quoits

Year 6 Boys

Niko Grant - 3rd place in Vortex

Year 7 Girls

Courtney Higham - 2nd place in 100m and 200m sprints

Stellar Stroud - 3rd place in Discus

Isabelle Aubrey - 2nd = in High Jump, 3rd place in Long Jump

Year 7 Boys

Brodie Nikolasion-Rowe - 3rd place in 100m sprints, 3rd place in High Jump

Year 8 Boys

Miller Buck - 2nd place in 1500m distance race

Mutu Ngarimu - 3rd place in 200m sprints
