Eco Warriors News

Enviro —

Kia ora! It’s your eco warrior reporter Tessa S here, and today I’m going to talk about paper recycling at West Melton.

Paper recyclers are responsible for removing the paper recycling around the school. First we get the paper bins from every classroom and then take them to the big bins near the library. After that we sort through the paper bins, separating the paper recycling and the rubbish. It is important to remember that only clean paper, newspapers and magazines can be put in the paper bin. Please don’t put dirty paper, paper towels, paper cups, laminated paper, tissues or any wrappers/rubbish in the paper bin, otherwise your lovely paper recyclers have to pick it out!

Make sure you’re being really careful with what you recycle because at the next Celebration of Learning we will be giving the recycling trophy to the community with the tidiest paper bins.

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next time!
