**Register by 5 July**

We are delighted to inform you that West Melton School will be participating in the world-renowned ICAS AssessmentsTM again this year. ICAS is designed to target students’ higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills in English, Mathematics, Science, Spelling, Writing and Digital Technologies.

We are offering the opportunity for interested Year 4-8 students to take part. ICAS exams are organised by the University of New South Wales and while offered to NZ schools it is important to note that they are based on the Australian Curriculum. This year parents will need to register and order their child’s exam paper online, however you do still need to give permission by 5 July via the survey posted on Hero for your child to sit the exam at school. Each exam costs $21.50 NZD, except Writing which is $27.75 NZD.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• 5 July 2024: Permission for ICAS through West Melton School needs to be completed.

• 29 July 2024: Payment must be made directly to ICAS: https://shop.icasassessments.com/pages/pps
