New Student Management System (Hero LincEd)

By now you should all hopefully be using the Hero app to view communications sent from the school. If you don't have the app you can still view the communication via email but do still need to have registered with Hero. If you know of anyone having issues with not receiving communications, can you please refer them to the office where we can ensure we have the correct email address.  Please note that the email address you register to use Hero with, must be the same as what we have on file. School Payments/Contributions

Invoices for School Donations are now viewable on Kindo.  

A reminder that any Donations (including school camps) that have been paid before 31 March 2021 can be claimed for a Tax Rebate on 1st April 2021.  Any payments made after this date will have to wait until 1 April 2022 to be claimed.  Tax receipts are sent to you from Kindo at the time of payment, or can be downloaded from your myKindo account.  

For any payments on your child/ren's account, please pay via the kindo shop or via online banking (stating in reference item covered).

Pool Keys

The swimming pool will be closed to the community after Easter so the final day to use your key is Tuesday 6 April. Please return your key to the office asap after this date and please email accounts@westmelton.school.nz with the Name and Bank Account Number that you wish your bond to be returned to, if you don't want us to retain it for the next season. NOTE: Keys must be returned by 15 May 2021 in order to receive your bond back.  

Uniform

It is great to see so many of the students in the correct school uniform. Just a reminder that students need to wear the correct 

• socks - blue, white or black - with no motif/logo on them

• shorts - blue with no motif/logo on them

• headband - plain and small

• no non-uniform clothing, including ‘skins’, under uniform

New uniforms can be purchased through the Mainland Uniform website              West Melton School or at their store on Wairakei Road.

Kids School Banking

Due to the reduction in cash payments, ASB are no longer collecting our banking.  We still have the banking box at school for this term, however we do encourage you to either take this to the bank yourselves, or to starting using ASB's Clever Kash banking system.  This means no more trips to the bank, and in this ever increasing cashless society, children can see their savings appear through their Clever Kash money box.  For more information see the link:            Clever Kash
