This term the Student Exec are organising the following events:

• Gumboot Friday - Friday 4 November

This is an event that is being supported across our Kāhui Ako. Gumboot Friday is an initiative created by I AM HOPE (Mike King) to raise funds to provide FREE kids counselling in a timely manner.

Children can wear casual clothes and especially gumboots to school, all for a donation of a gold coin. We are hoping to specifically donate to the teams running in the 24 Hour Charity Relay at Selwyn Sports Centre.

• West Melton’s Got Talent

Organisation is well underway for West Melton’s Got Talent. Entry forms have been handed out, with spares in the office. Note that entries close on Wednesday 9 November. Auditions are being held on 15-17 November (these will be held where possible during lunchtime and will not be in front of an audience) with the final being held on Friday 25 November 1.00 pm (audience welcome).
