On Wednesday 25 May, the whole school took part in the 2022 National Simultaneous Storytime event. Although Australian-based, many schools throughout New Zealand also take part each year. Now in its 22nd successful year, it is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes.

Ākonga across the school took part in different follow up activities, including exploring their own family tree, creating leaves with wishes for the future, drawing their family, etc.
