West Melton welcomes....

Sarah Greet

Kiaora, my name is Sarah Greet and I'm teaching Tuesday's for Miss Walker-Ibadulla in Matai and Thursday for Dr Smalley. In 2007/2008 I retrained as a teacher after spending time in my daughters classroom when she started school. I have been teaching full-time at Lincoln Primary School since 2012. During my teaching career I have worked in both the junior and senior school. At home I have my husband Martyn, and 14 year old son Hugo. Our 18 year old daughter Amelia moved to Otago to study in February so our house is quieter and cleaner without her. Sports has always been an important part of our family. Amelia has competed in gymnastics then later in trampolining to high levels while Hugo plays football and futsal. When we are not running around after the children, we enjoy spending time as a family camping and boating or my quiet chill out time is spent gardening, walking or reading.

I am really looking forward to getting to know the children and families at West Melton over the year.

Colleen Suddaby

My name is Colleen Suddaby and I will be teaching collaboratively with Anna Jenkins this year. I am married to Tim and we have three young sons, Mitchell, Jacob and Liam who attend CBHS and Kirkwood Intermediate.

I am excited to be teaching the intermediate learners and look forward to being involved in their education. As part of my role I will also be coordinating the sport for West Melton School. There will be many opportunities to assist with the wide range of events we will provide.

Please come and make yourself known if you are keen to help out. I am an avid sportswoman myself and try to find time to play coach and mentor others when I can. I also love to read, undertake various art projects and support my children in their sporting endeavours.

Vanessa Adams

Hello, my name is Vanessa Adams and I am excited to have joined the Tī Kōuka Community this year at West Melton School. I love teaching and enjoy helping children discover what they are great at and how to improve their learning. My husband and I love getting away for the weekend to go fishing and to enjoy time with friends and family. I am originally from Nelson so visiting the beach is always a must. We have a two year old son William who keeps us very occupied as well!

My hobbies include yoga, park runs, drawing, mindfulness and cooking. I have two pets at home and love animals. I'm looking forward to meeting and getting to know the West Melton community this year.
