We are delighted to inform you that West Melton School will be participating in the world-renowned ICAS AssessmentsTM again this year. ICAS is designed to target students’ higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills in English, Mathematics, Science, Writing, Spelling Bee and Digital Technologies.

We are offering the opportunity for interested Year 4-8 students to take part. ICAS exams are organised by the University of New South Wales and while offered to NZ schools it is important to note that they are based on the Australian Curriculum. Further information regarding ICAS exams can be found here: https://www.icasassessments.com/products-icas. Please note that this year parents will need to register and order their child’s exam paper online, however you do still need to give permission for your child to sit the exam at school during school time, under the supervision of selected staff (you will find this on the link under Community Notices on Hero App).

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Year 4-8 students ONLY
• ICAS exams will be sat from Monday 9 August through until Friday 2 September
• There will be a standard fee of $18.40 for all ICAS exams except Writing which will cost $24.73

IMPORTANT DATES:
