This week we have been celebrating and acknowledging all our talented and amazing support staff and the valuable contributions they make, so our school can be the best it can.  For example

• Working with learners

• Supporting teachers

• Keeping our school environment safe and clean

• Managing accounts and finances

• Managing office responsibilities

• Supporting senior leadership

• Keeping our library stimulating and inviting 

• And all those little extras that we as a school are very grateful for.

We have celebrated this week with too much food, personalised letters and cards and special photos, messages from our learners. 

Over the last three - four years, hard work by the Ministry of Education, New Zealand School Trustees and the New Zealand Educational Institute, Support Staff across New Zealand have finally been recognised financially for their worth in schools by achieving pay equity. 

As teachers we are fully supportive of support staff achieving pay equity. Which is so well deserved..
