2023 West Melton Fete

WM Fete —

We are excited that our school fete will be held on Sunday, March 26th!

This event is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate our school and community. Please check out the Fete Facebook page for more information.

We would love you to ‘join’ the event online and share this with your friends and family - this is a great way to help advertise the Fete.

Below is an overview of what organisation we will be doing over the next few months so that you have time to plan for it.

The fete will feature a range of activities and attractions, however the class stalls are where we will need some help

  • Kōwhai - Chocolate wheel

  • Tī Kōuka - Mystery bottles

  • Mānuka - Lucky dip

  • Toetoe - Plant stall

  • WMI/Tōtara - Volunteering on the day of the fete

There will be two casual clothes days to collect what we need for some stalls.

The first casual clothes day will be Friday 24th February where we would like every ākonga to bring in a cake of chocolate for the chocolate wheel.

The second casual clothes day will be on Friday 10th March where Kōwhai, Tī Kōuka and WMI/Tōtara will bring in something for the mystery bottle and ākonga in Mānuka and Toetoe will bring a prize in for a lucky dip.

We would love for you to be involved in this community event and support our school by volunteering your time. To sign up, please fill out this form with the times that you will be able to support us. In addition to volunteering, there are many other ways to support our school:

  • Donate items for the white elephant stall

  • Sell raffle tickets (sent home closer to the time. If you are unable to do this please fill out the form to opt out of selling tickets)

  • Bake treats for the FoWMS home baking stall (fudge, slices, loaves, banana bread, cupcakes, biscuits and cakes are in high demand). There will be baking boxes sent home for you to put your baking in, more information on this will be sent home closer to the time.

  • Let us borrow your gazebo and trestle tables

We look forward to seeing you at the fete and thank you in advance for your support!
