This week is all about bringing more joy into the school year after so many things have been cancelled for our ākonga/learners. We are planning to have activities, performances, competitions, visitors and much more happening everyday for our ākonga. It will start with the opening on the Monday and ending with our school Pets Day on the Thursday before the long weekend.

Monday 9: ‘Opening Fanfare’ with whānau colours mufti day, whānau Jump Jam and Jump Jam display.

Tuesday 10: ‘Arts Day Expo’ a day with performers singing, dancing and playing music. Visual Art displays, competitions and more.

Wednesday 11: ‘Friendship & Finals’ children taking part in friendship games and the school finals of West Melton’s GOT TALENT!

Thursday 12: ‘Pets Day Pageantry’ our pets come to school and we exhibit our crafts and produce.

As the teachers and staff get further into the planning process more information will be on its way. Hope you can join us at some stage during the week and that the children will look forward to being part of our           ‘Show Week Spectacular’.

Help Needed:  

We are looking for a flat deck truck trailer to use for the week. Needs to be big enough for our children to:  spell on, dance on, Jump Jam on, sing on, perform on.  If you or someone you know can help us with this, please contact kim.busch@westmelton.school.nz or Hannah in the office.
