Kia ora whānau,

School holidays are fast approaching and our ākonga have been working hard with their learning over the first term. 

Over the holidays it is important to take time to relax together and build children's learning capacity through experiences and oral communication. It is also very valuable to continue to read to your child and build their enjoyment for reading.

Our younger ākonga would benefit from reviewing and practicing the sounds in their home learning book. For those children that are at the stage of reading books it is wise to encourage them to continue to practice reading over the holidays.

Most importantly, take the time to listen to your children's laughter. Enjoy the time with your children, we look forward to hearing about all their adventures on their return to school.
