Bullying Free Week - Pink Shirt Day - 20 May

Student Exec —

Bullying-Free NZ Week theme Whakanuia Tōu Āhua Ake! Celebrating Being Us!

Next week we are involved in Bully Free NZ Week, finishing up with Pink Shirt Day on Friday.   We would like all ākonga and staff to wear as much pink as possible on Friday to help support this initiative. We don't tolerate bullying and we want to make this message clear. If everyone could bring a gold coin, which will go to the Mental Health Foundation.

The Student Exec Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting kindness and inclusiveness.

It's about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion and cultural background.

Our big message is the importance of being an upstander not a by stander.
