Kia ora whānau,

On Friday 21st July (Term 3, Week 1), we will be holding a Schoolwide Matariki Celebration.

• We will start with a Matariki shared parakuihi (breakfast) starting at 8:20 am in School Whānau groups. We would like to invite everyone into the communities from 8:20 am with a plate of food to share with your child’s whānau group.

• This will lead to whānau group activity time - beginning around 9:30 am. You are more than welcome to stay with us until 11 am (morning tea) for whānau activity time, while we learn more about Matariki.

Locations for Matariki breakfast:

Tōtara - Langdale

Kōwhai West - Trickett

Kōwhai East - Selwyn

Kāurapa - Newton (note this is a change from their usual meeting location)

Mānuka West- Ross

Mānuka East - Hill

Your child should know what whānau group they are in, if not, you can contact their pod teacher. We hope you can join us for some or all of the celebrations.
