What crazy teacher would dress up as a character from a story each day of Book Week?

Whaea Tanya would... we all thought that she made the best Elf on the Shelf! A little bit naughty... but mostly nice! It gave us all such a fright to see her sitting up there when we arrived at school. Whaea Anna and Whaea Tanya took pictures of all of us in our costumes... these will be posted on HERO by the end of the week so keep an eye out for them!

FUNDAY TUESDAYSome of us in Tuna have never been in the sandpit before. Most of us remembered to take our shoes and socks off first... we are all learning to put our socks inside the shoes so we don't lose them! In the sandpit we used our imaginations to create Kingdoms filled with princes and princesses and we found a twig for a flag on the castle. Some other children thought it would be fun to get buried. The sand tickled a lot. Whaea Tanya just sat with her feet in the sand... she said that if she closed her eyes she felt like she was on a beach... alone! We were also allowed to put some water in the sandpit... normally we are not supposed to do this... we felt a wee bit naughty!

SWIMMINGJust a few reminders about bringing togs and a towel each day. Please make sure that all items of clothing are well named so we don't get shorts and t-shirts muddled up.
