Term 4 can be incredibly busy, particularly for our Year 8 Leavers

As term 4 is just around the corner, here is a need to know article for all things Year 8 in term 4.

Key Dates specific to Year 8

• November 3rd- LHS Entrance exam and fun day (all parents who have enrolled their child at LHS will be emailed key details).

• December 4th- PYP Year 8 exhibition. This is an event open to all parents and whānau to come along and see what our Year 8's have been learning about for our final PYP unit. (Similar to a science fair)

• December 10th- Year 8 graduation assembly at Lincoln Events Centre. This is a very traditional and important milestone for our students. Each student will receive a special leaving gift and graduation 'walk' across the stage.

• December 17th- Year 8 Big Day Out. An activity at Hagley Park, followed by a swim at Jelly Park. This is also the last official day for our Year 8's.

Leavers Magazine- Our students will each receive a keepsake leavers magazine with photos, memories and a section dedicated to each student. We will be spending quite a bit of time on this during the start of term 4 ready to have printed and distributed at the end of term. We also have a 'signing day' where students can go around the school and get farewell messages.

Leavers Hoodies- These are currently available for purchase via our online shop. Instructions have been sent out via Hero.

Finally, we would like to acknowledge and thank our wonderful PTA who contribute funds for each Year 8 student for these significant events. Your support is greatly appreciated!
