Line Dancing

Last Thursday Miro went and joined their buddies from Year 7 Pātiki over in the hall for some good old fashioned line dancing, yeehaw!! 

Miss Pupich, Miss Dyson and Miss Irvine all go to a line dancing class on a Monday night together so they got up on stage and taught us one of their favourite line dances. Miss Irvine & Miss Dyson taught their class earlier in the week so our big buddies could help us here in Miro learn the dance. It was heaps of fun and something we want to do again!

Isla - It was fun dancing with our buddies so I really want to do it again. 

Miesha - It was amazing dancing with our buddies. 

Adeline - I liked meeting new Year 7’s and having fun with them.

Amy - I liked practising it and got it straight away.

Leo - I liked to watch it and I saw Benji playing football. 

Harry - I liked to do the dance. 

Brandon - I played chess with Bernard at Kelly Club. 

Archie - I saw Ben while he was on the field. 

Community Inquiry

This week we have started our PYP Inquiry “How We Organise Ourselves” by looking at our community and our Central Idea is: People give service in different ways and for a variety of reasons. We have completed two lessons so far. In the first lesson we got into groups and were given a range of brochures and flyers from local community groups and we had to organise them. Some groups saw that there were sports related activities, some were focussed around kids, some were about food. Today we shared about a community group that WE are a part of. It was so awesome to share with each other and learn about some of the different community groups that are offered here in little old Lincoln.

Luka - My group is a swimming group and I blow bubbles underwater and floating. 

Adeline - I learnt that Izzy goes to Keas and she does activities like mountain climbing. 

Alex M - I learnt Minudi goes to a Saga dance class. 

Greer - I learnt that Delilah does hip-hop dancing classes and learns dances.

Archie - I learnt Quinn does Judo and wears a gi.

Damien - I learnt that Patrick does drama class. 

Forest - Nikrye goes to a tennis club. 

Delilah - I learnt that Greer does touch and she wears a pink uniform top.
