EOTC - Education Outside The Classroom
EOTC is an important dimension to enhance our school programmes.
Experiences outside the classroom include such activities as the Camps for Years 5-8, sailing, sports, music, drama and educational trips. Local walks, visits and visitors are also valuable additions to classroom learning programmes.
Whenever possible, all school excursions or outings are directly related to current classroom programmes and themes, and as such most arranged visits are compulsory for children.
Risk management systems are in place and all parent helpers must complete the required documentation from the school.
Sometimes we walk or travel by bus, and at other times we ask for parental help with transport.
All parent helpers must complete our police vetting form prior to participating in outings and/or events.
Whenever private transport is used, parents/caregivers must provide proof of current driver’s licence and their car must have a current Registration and Warrant of Fitness. All children and the driver must wear a seatbelt.
