The IB PYP Transdisciplinary Themes Explained
A key component of the PYP is its six transdisciplinary themes, which help students explore knowledge across multiple subject areas in a meaningful and connected way.
Why are these themes important?
The transdisciplinary themes help students see the bigger picture, making learning more engaging and relevant. Instead of learning subjects in isolation, students explore concepts through meaningful, real-world inquiries. This approach nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, preparing our students to become global citizens.
