Emergency Procedures

Lincoln Primary —

Staff have planned procedures to be put into action in case of an emergency, earthquake, lockdown, fire, etc.

We will keep all children at school under supervision until they are collected by parents or another adult specifically nominated in writing by you. You can nominate that person in advance, and it will be recorded.

When children are released from school after an emergency, it will be entered on a special register, so that if any later inquiry is made, we know where every child went. It is vital, therefore, that parents do not just arrive and take children without notifying us during an emergency.

We suggest that you discuss this within your family and have a plan in case you are separated for a long time. The staff will be cooperating with the Civil Defence organisation, who may use our school as a sector post in a civil emergency.

We also practise our emergency drills throughout the year.
