Our school library has a fantastic collection of engaging picture books just waiting to be discovered!

From laugh-out-loud favourites to gentle bedtime stories, our shelves are filled with books that spark imagination, build language, and create beautiful moments to share.

Whether your child is just beginning their reading journey or already starting to devour chapter books, 

picture books have a special place in growing minds and hearts.


Reading With Young Children

  • Let them choose the book—it gives them ownership and excitement.

  • Use funny voices, sound effects, and expression.

  • Pause to talk about the pictures and ask questions.

  • Don’t worry about reading every word—enjoy the moment together.

  • Read favourites over and over—it builds language, confidence and understanding.
