Lincoln Primary School | Te Kura o Tauhinu has an Enrolment Scheme with a clearly defined zone, to avoid overcrowding. 

To enrol in our school you need to live within the school’s enrolment zone and be able to provide proof of where you live. 

If you are moving from another area or school, please feel free to contact the office to arrange a time to meet with our Senior Leadership Team to answer any questions you may have, and to show you around the school. 

Enrolment forms can be completed online via our school website. 

New Entrant Enrolments 

If your child is turning five in the next year or so, complete the enrolment form. The earlier you enrol the better so that we can plan for classroom space and teacher appointments. 

Lincoln Primary School has adopted a cohort entry as of Term 1 2024.  This means that there are only two start dates each term for new entrants:

• The first day of each term

• A mid - point during the term

This could mean that a child may not start school on their 5th birthday so this is something parents should be mindful of when preparing their child for their starting date.

Transitioning to LPS from other schools

If you move into our zone and your child is transferring from another school please complete the enrolment form as soon as possible.  A copy of your child's latest school report would be super helpful but not compulsory.  We recommend booking an appointment to meet the Principal and taking a tour of the school before your child starts. Please contact the school office should you wish to make such an appointment. Once your application is complete the Principal will confirm the start date.

All new enrolments will need to supply a Birth Certificate, evidence of up to date immunisation, along with proof of residence in the form of a rates demand, sales or rental agreement. 

Other details you will need to supply include: 

· Family details, eg. names, addresses, place of work and phone numbers. 

· An emergency contact person, address and phone number in case you cannot be contacted. 

· Medical factors that are important, eg. allergies, diet, vision and hearing, speech, family doctor and any health or behaviour issues. 

· Any court order documents of parental access information.

· Any comments you think might be helpful, relating to your child in terms of achievement.
