Louise Cotching | Kaiako STEAM
Kia ora koutou. I started my teaching career in 2002 after having completed a BEd here in Canterbury. I love the variety of opportunities and challenges that come with working in education and have taught in both preschool and primary school levels as well as supply teaching in the UK. I enjoy P.E. and sport and have been a Sports Co-ordinator and Curriculum leader in these areas as well as coaching various netball teams at Future Fern, Primary and age group representative levels.
In 2010 I took a break from classroom teaching to be a mum and now have 3 awesome boys. I remained involved in education during this time through Lincoln Playcentre where I developed a passion for learning through play.
I joined the Hangarau - Technology Team in 2021 and have enjoyed the challenges and variety that my role involves. In 2024 I will be in e-Textiles, Design and Innovation and STEAM. I am also the staff rep for our Lincoln Primary School PTA.
Outside of school I enjoy watching and supporting my boys in their various pursuits, the outdoors and being active, gardening, walking George (our spoodle) and spending time with family and friends.
