To start using the e-Platform:

(Each time you wish to browse, borrow and read books)

  1. You may borrow one e-Book at a time.  Return your book at any time.

  2. Tap the Wheelers app and select Lincoln Primary School (this should appear automatically when you open the app once you have used it the first time.)  You will then be at the LPS e-Platform home page.

  3. Tap ‘sign in’.

  4. Enter your username (first name.last name - all lower case with a full stop between names) and student login (school password - usually an animal1234) then tap ‘sign in’

  5. Tap ‘browse’ to view all of the available e-books we have on the platform.  You can organise the e-Books by tapping ‘most popular’, ‘new releases’, ‘recently added’ or ‘alphabetical’.  To search under ‘types’ of e-Books, tap ‘category’ and select from the list.  You can also search for a book title using the search for books bar.

  6. Scroll through the titles (shown as book covers) and tap on an e-Book you wish to look at.  This will show you a brief blurb.  Tap ‘read more’ if you wish to learn more about the book.  If you decide you would like to issue this book, tap ‘borrow’.

  7. You will now be able to begin reading the book.  When you have finished reading for the day, return to the home screen and sign out of the e-Platform.  When you want to continue to read the same book, simply tap ‘my loans’ once you have logged into e-Platform again.  (The book will have remained on the page you last read.)

  8. If you have finished reading the book and wish to return it, tap ‘my loans’, tap the book you wish to return and tap ‘return’, then tap ‘ok’.  The book will now be returned.  An e-Book can be returned at any time.

  9. Each book will remain on your i-pad for TWO weeks and it will then automatically return itself to the e-Platform.  No more overdue books!!

Additional Information;

  • Wifi is only required when you are issuing a book - once it is issued you will be reading offline.

  • Use your iPhone, iPad, Android, Tablet, or Windows 8/10 device to read our eBooks

  • Most of the titles available on the e-Platform are different from those in our school library so it is an extension of our physical book collection in our library at school.

  • Any problems or questions email Mandy Wilson (LPS Librarian) for help.
