Kia ora - I will be teaching Food Technology this year.  I joined the talented Hanagrau | Technology team in 2017 after teaching in a variety of schools in New Zealand and England over the last 20+ years.

I really enjoy teaching Year 7&8.  I believe in a supportive learning environment which focuses on building relationships and promotes the acceptance of diverse needs where all children should feel encouraged and inspired to strive for success.  Technology offers opportunities for authentic tasks centred around innovation, inquiry and creativity.  I’ll be sharing my food knowledge and empowering ākonga so they can create fantastic dishes too.  I look forward to welcoming you into the LPS kitchen this year.

Away from school, I’m usually with my husband and two children going on adventures together, at sporting activities or busy at home creating with fabric, cooking new recipes, reading or in the garden.
