Prebbleton School Cross Country 2023
We were extremely lucky to have the rain disappear and the sunshine for our cross country this year. It was great to come together as a community with lots of whānau to cheer the runners on. It was an awesome day out with lots of smiles.
We were all really impressed with the resilience shown by a lot of our runners. Race day can be a day with lots of nerves, especially for our younger runners who had never competed in cross country before. Facing our fears and giving things a go builds a strong mind and the ability to face other challenges.
There was a wonderful feeling of community all day. Whether students were competing in the competitive section or the fun run, there were plenty of encouraging comments and cheering on.
A huge thank you to our parent helpers who helped out on the course as marshals and the team of parents who walked with the classes down to the domain and back to school. We really couldn't have done it without your help.
Congratulations to the following students who placed in their year levels.
These runners from Years 5-8, alongside the other runners who placed 4th, 5th and 6th, will make up our Lincoln Zone Cross Country team and will compete at Ngā Puna Wai on Thursday 1 June.
