Music
Where words fail, music speaks - Hans Christian Anderson
At Prebbleton School, students have the opportunity to learn a variety of instruments including piano, violin, flute, guitar, ukulele, drums and singing. These lessons are provided by professional tutors and have a cost involved.
Prebbleton School provides opportunities for children to work together to make music. Each year our senior choir performs in the annual Christchurch Music Festival and our junior choir biannually in the Kids for Kids Concert. Marimba groups perform in the Strum Strike Blow Concert and our Rock Band competes at Bandquest.

2021
On Wednesday 16th June Prebbleton School took part in the annual Strum Strike Blow Concert at the Christchurch Arena. 36 of our senior students joined with over 1000 students from many Canterbury schools to make wonderful music. There were specific ukulele, marimba and recorder sections as well as 3 mass items. Their music was met with great applause by an enthusiastic crowd.
