Thank you to all who came along to the community open afternoon on Monday, and/or the Year 5&6 open evening on Tuesday - I hope you enjoyed it.

We've had some wonderfully fun events happen this fortnight: the farm trips for Year 0-2 students to Living Springs were a big success and brought their recent farm studies to life; Year 7&8 students participated very well at the Koru Games last week, with lovely weather and great sportsmanship shown; and the Year 3&4 Bug Ball on Friday afternoon was awesome - we loved the wearable art! My grateful thanks to our teachers for organising these events and making our school such a fabulous learning place.

Last week our Kapa Haka did us proud with their beautiful, polished and resounding performance at Ellesmere College. They have gone from strength to strength, and their practices and preparations really paid off.

Congratulations to the Year 7&8 students whose projects were selected for the NIWA Canterbury Westland Science Fair last weekend - tino pai!

You may have noticed that we have done a bit of spring planting, with lots of plants added to our gardens and the new planter-box seating areas.  Thanks Brad - we're looking good :).

Students are ready for a rest - enjoy a happy and relaxing school holiday, hopefully with lovely weather for the start of day-light saving time. And a big thanks from us for all the help and support you have given in this busy term.

The comeback is always stronger than the setback.
