Awesome results at the Jump Jam South Island Regional Finals

Amy Gudgeon —

Last Saturday, Prebbleton had 3 teams competing at the South Island finals, where we cleaned up and restocked the school trophy cabinet!

A huge amount of hard work, practice, dedication, and effort has been on display over the past 2 terms. For this competition, the teams all had to include choreography and formation changes, vocal chants, calls, singing and wear costumes. A huge ka pai to the following teams and students who should be very very proud of their effort, I know your coaches are!

The Year 5-6 girls team, the Pink Ladies, who performed a very slick and energetic Greased Lightning routine. The Pink Ladies competed in the Year 4-6  Advanced section. The team finished 2nd, and scooped up the following awards:

Merit- costumes, merit- creativity, excellence - presentation and excellence - technical execution.

Congratulations to Mia, Mya, Alice C, Lucia, Kate W, Cooper-Rose, Sophie C, Nina, Sophie AL, Sarah N, Alice P and Rosie.

The Year 7-8 team, the Dancing Kings and Queens, sparkled on stage and had the whole crowd singing along with a very engaging Dancing Queen routine. The team finished 2nd in the Year 7-8 Challenge section and also won the following awards:

The Year 5-6 boys team, the Prebbleton Warriors, competed in the All Boys Advanced Year 4-8 section with their Logo Te Pate routine. The boys owned the stage and performed with so much pride, energy and enthusiasm. The boys placed 1st! Their score will be compared to the top score from the North Island finals, this will determine the winners of the National Boys Title. They also won the following awards:
