World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

Jo Neal —

The climate crisis affects us all, but our Asia-Pacific neighbours are feeling it first. Kids in Timor-Leste are caught between extreme storms, droughts and rising seas. Together, we can change that. Join WV to be part of a global movement, working with nature to restore forests – fast. WV partner with frontline communities to unlock our planet’s underground forest using Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR). This is a game-changer for the kids in Timor-Leste!

If your child is in Year 5 - Year 8, they can sign up (with your permission) for the 2024 40 Hour Challenge as part of the Prebbleton School team.

40 Hour Challenge participants can choose their own challenge, e.g. 40 km in 40 hours (walk, run, ride, swim, skip or row) individually or in a team, or collecting water in a bucket - (no inside taps allowed!) and using it every time you drink, cook, wash or flush. There are lots more ideas on the website 40hour.org.nz and you can follow @40hourfaminenz to use their random challenge generator!

If your Year 5-8 child is keen to participate in the 40 Hour Challenge this year, sign them up with this link WV Team Prebbleton. All sponsorship of participants will be collected on-line only.
