Cherie Harris
Kia ora, ko Cherie tōku ingoa. I’m a born and bred Cantabrian, although I have lived overseas briefly in my early 20s. I have been teaching at Taumata Kuri Prebbleton School for over 15 years. I oversee the Learning Assistants and the programmes they provide and provide support for teachers and students. I also look after the ESOL children. My favourite subjects are reading and writing and science. I have a great love of Monarch butterflies as I completed extensive research with them during a Teaching Fellowship that I completed in 2008. I have one son, and three wonderful grandchildren who I love to spend time with. I love to read and I love knitting, sewing and taught myself to crochet last year.
