Board News

Alli Williams —

Every state and state-integrated school in New Zealand has a Board with elected parent representatives, a staff rep, and the Principal who manages the school in line with the Board's direction and policies. Voting occurs every three years.

Board Update:

It was great to see so many turn out for the recent Matariki Evening; upgrades to the school hall are underway and it will be great to see how much more room we have with new seating (and storage for this) and portable staging.

Each time we meet, reports are presented to the Board. The principal's report outlines how we are meeting our strategic goals, the finance, property and health & safety sub-committees present, and we hear from various curriculum leads. This term we have had a Curriculum and Prebbleton Pathway Report and our three Kāhui Ako Within School Leads (WSL) gave progress reports for their various roles.

If you'd like to read the meeting minutes, these are published on our school website under the 'Ō Mātou Tāngata - Our People' and 'Board'.
