NIWA Science Fair
On Saturday 21 September 2019 - 11 students from the Intermediate Hub, entered the NIWA Canterbury Westland Science and Technology Fair.
The event annually celebrates excellence in science and technology and is open to students from year 7-13. All the entries are judged by a panel of experts from industry, research organisations, universities and schools. This year, the fair was held in the Ernest Rutherford Building at the University of Canterbury.
Students who entered from Prebbleton School, had received a place or “a highly commended” in the Hub Science Fair in August. There were nearly 200 entries from students all around Canterbury. It was a great experience for our students, displaying their learning amongst their peers and being able to discuss their scientific thinking with experts from around Canterbury.
Congratulations to the following students who represented our school so well - we are very proud of you.
