Burnham Camp Matariki Festival
Exciting Announcement for Parents! Join Us for Our Burnham Matariki Festival Next Week!
Get ready for a magical celebration at our upcoming Burnham Matariki Festival on Wednesday, 26 June!
We invite you and your children to immerse yourselves in the spirit of Matariki with an afternoon filled with fun and creativity.
Bring along a pair of your child's jeans or a plain T-shirt, and watch as we hot iron a beautiful STAR transfer onto them—creating a special keepsake for your little ones!
Kids can participate in a variety of Matariki craft activities, where their imaginations can soar and creativity can shine. They will also have the opportunity to place their wishes on our newly created Matariki Tree, symbolising hopes for the future and unity within our community.
Prepare to be captivated by enchanting Matariki stories led by Jade from TE ARA ĀTEA, as she transports us through the legends and traditions surrounding this special time of year.
And don't worry about snacks—we'll be providing delicious kai to keep everyone warm, energised and happy throughout the festivities.
Join us in celebrating Matariki—a time for renewal, reflection, and connection with whānau and community.
Let's create memories together and embrace the spirit of this beautiful cultural celebration!
Date: Wednesday, 26 July from 4.30pm - 6.30pm in the Burnham Community Hall.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Spread the word and bring your friends and family along for a fun-filled celebration!
