Shannon is the classroom teacher of Rūma Ruru and Pākihiroa Hub Leader. Shannon joined Burnham part-time after returning from maternity leave in 2023. After seeing how the school values and programmes aligned with her teaching philosophy she returned to full time teaching in 2024. Shannon prefers the junior school due to the students' needs, that moment when it ‘clicks’ for them and their honesty.

Shannon is a mum to Rosie who will be joining us later in the year. She has two dogs Lily Lollipop and Bear Bear who enjoy taking her for a walk, playing fetch with a tennis ball, keeping an eye on the street and pats.
