An initiative derived from our schools strategic goals; Introduce and empower all learners to use and apply the Learning Capabilities in everyday learning is beginning to come alive in our Hubs. Teachers are talking explicitly with learners about taking the lead to share their own learning via HERO posts. Alongside the HERO posts learners are making connections with what Learner Capability they have demonstrated during this area of learning. 

What you can expect to see moving forward. Learners in Years 5-8 will have access to their HERO accounts and will be taught and supported to upload evidence of their learning supported by the School’s Learning Capabilities. Learners in Years 1-4 will be supported by their teacher to view their HERO account on a teachers device and select evidence of learning to be uploaded with supporting statements in students voice. 

What you can do to support your child. Ensure you have full access to HERO, turn on notifications and follow the links when they are sent. Celebrate and talk about recent posts. You can even make a comment below the post to support your children.
