- Selwyn District Council - The latest programmes and events guide is out now with a diverse range of activities being held around Selwyn next term.
From events and workshops to fitness classes, the programme is your complete guide to what’s on for all ages at Council facilities in your area.
In addition to regular library programmes, new this term are a variety of workshops with a focus on technology, sustainability, wellness and Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week).
September marks the return of CultureFest, a one-day event in Lincoln celebrating Selwyn’s growing diversity. This will be followed by a two-week series of events and activities around the district.
The Selwyn Sports Centre have opened their social Pickleball and Floorball sessions to all ages, while the Selwyn Aquatic Centre has added new sessions to its popular Parent Aqua Fit classes.

Busy Bumbles: Before and After School Care and Holiday Programmes.Due to roll growth we are on the hunt for some awesome people to join our BB Team as Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors at our Rolleston venues, West Melton venue and possibly Templeton venue.We are also on the hunt for casual staff who could easily get afternoon shifts 5 days a week if they wanted them.Great job for Teacher Aides, as is outside of school hours. Casual shifts would suit high school students....especially if they are able to drive to various venues in Selwyn.

All the “Cool Kids” are in to Pre-Loved these days so help save the environment and make some money too by booking a stall at our first Preloved Toys and Books Sale. We have the Station booked for 10-12 on Monday October 3rd, the first day of the School Holidays, so buy and/or sell yourself some peace, entertainment and fun. A stall is only $5 and after that its all profit for you.
